nurkvinny
I got the wife an 04 Stratus with the 2.7 V6. It will run flawlessly for a week. Then, at random times, it simply shuts off. No sputtering, no misfires, no nothing. Just quietly turns off. No codes. Took it to the Dodge dealer right by me. Of course, it never did it for the mechanic. He did find a service bulletin about a PCM program upgrade, and reprogrammed the PCM. I found 1 recall (2-door models only) for fuel line fittings in the tank breaking, but her's is a 4-door. Any thoughts? She has ~9,000 miles left on the warranty.
Alex1647545498
Then take it back. Get them to find the problem before warrenty is out.
nurkvinny
I think I figured it out. We realized that every time it has died, she was turning left, and up into a parking lot or our driveway. Meaning, the car's weight was thrown to the right, and the car was bouncing slightly. I'm thinking her engine ground strap (only 1 used on a stratus) is loose, fuxxered, whatever. If that isn't it, we'll head back.
