Dave1647545494
I'd be willing to take a look at it. 1k for a thrmostat in anything sounds a little extreem
Guest powers
the thermostat is a VERY difficult location to service. You are paying for all new Audi coolant. $40 per gallon. the stat 50-100. and about 5 hours labor @ 69 an hour. plus shop matrials. there are also a few gaskets that need replaced at $10 a piece. Acceleration should be able to do the whole deal for 500 for less.
Tractor
Sounds european to me. I'd think that a T-stat would be the usual $4 and maybe $20 in coolant if you did it yourself. Evan

Sounds like someone designed it this way on purpose. tongue.gif
Moe7
the thermostat itself isn't too expensive.. its just the coolant and labor that is $$$. try Motorkars on King Ave., i've heard they're pretty reasonable: -------------- Motorkars (614) 297-1811 1020 King Ave Columbus, OH 43212
Tractor
Audi must have there coolant on the same rack most parts stores stock the blinker fluid on. Evan
