DrEvil3264
well ive had a power aqouistic 980 watt amp and 2 500 watt Pioneer subs in my car for a while, and whenever i would run the heater and headlights or something that takes a lot of the power. When i would turn the music up on a song with a lot of bass, when a large bass hit would come it would cause the cd player to restart. All my friends told me that i needed a cap because the amp is drawing too much power, well i bought a 3 farad one off ebay, and wired it up as shown in the directions, played it and it does the exact same thing no change at all, and the cap is a digital one, its lit up and showing that its getting power. Even the lights are still dimming? what could be my prob!
Guest Harris92
When you are driving, and listening to music loudly, do your rpm's drop ever, like the car is about to die, or do the lights just dim?
DrEvil3264
NO i dont think the idle drops, but the lights will still dim, is that a common prob having the cd player restart or what? I was told that a 3 farad cap would be more than a enough for my amp...
lord_tris
bad ground check to make sure that ALL (ie ampgrounds stereo and that all connections on the amp are tight as all) ground are secure and that there is no corrosion, paint, rust in the way
Bgbdbn
Is it shutting off and restarting or is it skipping to the beginning? Mine will skip all over the disc when I play a bass heavy song loud.
