Guest jpurdy2003
This is a $500+ dealer item from what I understand. Is there any cheaper way to get this besides junkyard hunting? Also, I've heard that the sensor is riveted to the throttle body, necessitating the replacement of the entire throttle body. Is this true? If it is true, can I just drill out the rivets and attach a new sensor with a screw or nut and bolt?
302Powered
Get on ebay and buy the throttle body.
Guest jpurdy2003
Will a throttle body from any D-series work, or does it have to be from a d15?
SHIEF
Yes you can drill out the rivets on the TB. Some of the TPS's did come with screws if your going to the junkyard. If it's riveted and if you have enough room cut a cross shape into the rivet and try to get it out with a flat-head screwdriver before having to drill it out.
