Guest MichRX7
Indianapolis, IN - The Rotary Revolution proudly announces guest speaker Jerry Harding with RX Tuner Magazine to Rotary Revolution 2005. Most of us know that we have a rotary engine underneath the hood of our cars (hence the event name Rotary Revolution); but do we know the history of how this engine came to be developed? No? Then we've just lined up the perfect seminar for you at the 2005 Rotary Revolution. Jerry's Topic: Rotary History 101 The seminar will include the topic of early rotary history. From the life of Felix Wankel and his collaborations with NSU, to Curtiss-Wright’s development and others who toyed with the rotary concept including Citroen, Mercedes Benz, GM, and more. The development of the engine will be covered including Wankel’s early prototypes and how the engine was made into a viable automotive powerplant. Various concept and production rotary cars will also be discussed, as well as other places the rotary was found besides automobiles (the snowmobiles, motorcycles, boats, etc). A little about Jerry Harding: Jerry been into rotaries ever since he bought his first RX-7 in 1999. Being a "rotary newbie" he began researching and was turned on by the uniqueness of the rotary engine. From June 2001 to the end of 2004, Jerry served as an officer of the Mazda Rotary Car Club of Florida. He planned numerous events and helped with the day to day affairs of the club. When the MRCCFL started publishing thier newsletter, Jerry wrote an article for every issue. In December 2004, Jerry decided to seek a position writing for RX Tuner Magazine and left his MRCCFL writing days behind. Since then, he has made numerous contacts in the rotary industry in just the past few months. During the past six years, he has amassed a large amount of knowledge and an equally large library of books about the history of the rotary engine. Help us welcome Jerry (and his knowledge) for his first visit to the Rotary Revolution! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ONLINE REGISTRATION ENDS MARCH 15th!
