I just got an FOP card from the secretary of the columbus pd and was wondering if I needed to type my name on the front or just writhe it. I was the best tip a waiter could get.

That varies highly depending on:

1. Where you get pulled over. A card from Greater Columbus might not work in Greater Cleveland, or vice versa.

2. Your offense. If you're busted for more than 20 over the limit, save it for your next traffic stop when it'll actually help you.

3. Whether the cop who's pulling you over honors those cards (some don't for ANYONE out of principle).

4. How the cop who pulls you over feels about the officer who issues the card. If the officer who pulled you over thinks that "N. Michael Taylor" is a douchebag, you're not only getting a ticket, you're going to be written up for everything possible.
