I knew that you could get the supercharged engine in the XR-7, but a 5 speed? Considering as a replacement for the Caddy.
95probegt
I think it would be a good replacement

Known problem, huh? If it hasn't, based on what you're saying, if I don't want to plan on doing it I should pass? I don't know anything about those cars, so any info you've got would help. That would be the 3.8 correct?
Dave1647545494
3.8 thats the only known problem mostly likely if its running now and has higher miles the gaskets already been done.
Science Abuse
Originally posted by GAS,GRASS OR ASS: 3.8 thats the only known problem mostly likely if its running now and has higher miles the gaskets already been done.incorrect. SC's have a couple other things. DIS modules and crank sensors. OEM DIS modules are getting hard to come by. And the 5 speed tranny (M5R2) is known to eat syncros, get brass ones. that being said BUY THAT FUCKING CAR! BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT NOW!!!! If I had the money I'd be on it like flies on shit...why? Its rare, very rare, you'll be lucky to see another one. 89 isn't so rare, something like 2000 made witht eh manual, but if you find a 90, its one of only 800~. Its a car that will appriciate. If you dont care about that, buy it anyways, I'll give you an AOD with a shift kit and 3200 stall (needs od clutch band) + $100 for that tranny and pedal assy. smile.gif
