Wease
I have a set of 428 CJ heads. They are in need of a valve job and sandblasted/cleaned up as they've been in my basement for a few years. I'm looking to sell them, how much do you think they are worth? I paid about $500 for them. TIA... smile.gif [ 15. Dave1647545494
Cobra jet heads are getting hard to find I wouldn't take less than 500 bucks for the pair
Skinner
saw some that were ported and polished that were $2200 but thes are all orginal with nothing done right? Saw on a couple ford sites 427 stock heads were $500 before shipping. Was unable to find anything on ebay. I'll ask my step father what they should/would normally go for. Wease
Yeah Dave, I think that would be a fair price. Yes, they are original with nothing done to them. But they are legit. I would appreciate you asking your step father. smile.gif

Wease
How can I tell if they have steel valve seat? The vavles and springs are out.
Skinner
the valve seat would have been milled out and and a steel sleeve would have been pressed in.
Wease
Well, I can't tell for sure, but I'm going to say no, they don't have a steel sleeve.
