I went up there a few weeks ago, I ahd never heard of the place, Mark showed me around the shop and came out and looked at my car. Very friendly up there I like it. SilverEvo8owner
Nope, I don't work there. Just a customer. Great shop though. They do good work including parts installs, to tuning, to paint. They also have an AWD dyno.
trbmiata
02 wrx with more power and stock suspension = no fun in the curves, which is what the car is made for. You can also make the argument that the car has enough power stock so why add more. Plus alot of power = good bye tranny. Whoever said that you should add power before suspension and brakes knows very little about wrx's or subaru's in general. just my thought and was trying to give my advice, but you car do what you want. most of all have fun. BiG BeN
so, out of curiosity...whats the tranny fix? cryotreating/shotpeening do any good? or is it something more painful involving STi parts?

BTW wrx’s and subaru’s are not possessive, they are plural, wrxes and subarus. Um Yeah that was me..... I own 2 of these cars, and have a great deal of knowledge about both of them; I have done all the work on both of them myself. In fact I have to go to Subaru today and pick up a part for a 2003 WRX that actually is a 2002 part on a 2003 car. I told my wife to get a 2002 part but when she got there they talked her into a 2003 part. I seem to have more knowledge that the person who works the counter at SUBARU.... Opinions are like assholes, and yours is just that, which you are entitled to, I agree with the guy above, power before suspension, unless you autocross or rally, most highways do not turn much, and most people spend their time on the highways. I don't drive on any highways that have a hairpin turn in them, however I do travel on very bumpy highways that would absolutely suck to drive on with a stiff suspension. In the future please refrain from attacking someone’s intelligence on a car until you meet them and actually get to know them. Thanks and I look forward in meeting you someday so we can look at each others cars. And in the end like you said the most important thing is to have fun. integranator
My buddy drives an 02 wrx w/ quite a bit done to it. He's got an upgraded turbo, full stainless tubular exhaust manifold uppipe/dppipe exhaust, utec, and actually was tuned by Payn up in michigan and did quite well on the dyno. He also has one of the tightest suspensions i've ever felt for STOCK shocks. He's running h&r springs w/ cusco sway bars, strut bars, undercarrige braces--- and he auto-x's is frequently and the car performances in the top 3 almost everytime-- The car even kept up w/ my ass from a roll! So an all around scoobie can be done!
Maro
If you scoobie guys hook up, let me know. I'd like to check them out also since I will soon be playing with my own ride...
