Guest Steps
My brother and I are rebuilding his 302 and we are replacing the cam, main, and rod bearings. Unfortunately we cannot find a place that rents a cam bearing puller. The tool is 279.00 new and he does not want to spend the money on one, we don't rebuild enough engines to justify the cost. Do any of you know where we can rent one, or have one we can use? If anything happened to it we would replace it. If you wanted you could just meet up with us at his house and we can pull the bearings immediately and give the tool right back, however you want to do it!! I appreciate any help. Dave1647545494
do you have the motor tore all the way down already? you can get cam bearings done at napa for about 20 bucks plus the bearings.
Guest Steps
Wow that is not too bad really. We do have it torn completely down, and we have the new bearings. We have not called around to price it being done yet, I guess we assumed it would not be that cheap. Thanks Dave.
