Need some help finding some newer rock songs

I can't for the life of me remember who sings these songs. and I can't remember all the words...so I'm gonna put down some lyrics that I know, and hopefully one of you guys will recognize it. First song:

Second song. It's a little older. Was on the radio right before the 9/11 thing and I think it was taken off because it had something in the lyrics that might make people cry or something...like they did with alot of songs. So, I never got a chance to find out who it was.

 

'down here, in (something) sweet days, where all that I need, is not what I need. Down here, you're not my enemy....'

 

That's all I know. Thanks for any help you guys can give me. I had the first song downloaded on my other computer, but don't have access to that computer right now, as I'm lacking a moniter that will support it.

go to azlyrics.com and type them into the search thingy and they will give you tons of songs that have those lyrics in them and tell you who they are but and everything, its a great site

First song: "Seven" by Firevision, though you probably mean the version by Revis

As for the second one. I'm not sure if the lyrics are exactly correct. I haven't heard it sinde 9/11. And just never bothered to ask anyone.
