iwishiwascool
I'm considering a career change. It's not really a change so much as adding finance to my current bag of tricks. I am aware that a company must sponsor you. I would be working for American Express as an entry level financial advisor. Unlike my sister who just aced it, I do not have a finance degree. So, has anyone taken it? What was your background prior to doing so?
iwishiwascool
Not a single one?

Dr. Pomade
I haven't taken it, but I know one person who has. He had a degree in something business-related. Said he had to study fairly intensly for it. I haven't talked to that guy in years, and I don't have his contact information. So, can't help much there. I know that a lot of stock brokers (if not all?) are mandated to pass the series 7. Not sure how far you'll get, but you could call up a firm and ask to speak to someone about it. iwishiwascool
Im looking more for personal experiences. Best case Scenario would be someone who took it without already having a finace degree.
Guest midnightblue
Worked for Morgan Stanley for a while. Even the secretaries there passed it. Saw the material and it looks pretty simple.

Gergwheel1647545492
My brother passed it, he has no degree and he is horrible at math, i know math doesnt have alot to do with it but still. All you really have to do is study alot and make sure you are studying the right materials.
