Guest Elinar Longsight Posted July 16, 2004 Report Share Posted July 16, 2004 We have a babysitter that does $3/hr per kid, but she does it for $3 an hour flat rate because the kids are always in bed and she doesn't really have to do anything. Make sure your daughter takes CPR/First Aid classes and the babysitting classes at the Red Cross, because then people would be willing to pay more an hour for a babysitter with those certs, than someone without. Our babysitter has both certs and she is 14(that is the only reason I let someone that young watch my kids) But $2-5 an hour per kid is the going rate around my side of town.
