CJINOHIO03
It has doen this 3 times ever. Sometimes it will be a few months before it does it again. I was sriving on the highway for a while and got off and the rpm shot up to like 2500 and wouldnt go back down only way to stop it is to shut car off a few times and it will go away. What could this be? Was told maybe a idle air control valve or soemthing like that
Buck531
Try replacing the Throttle position sensor. I was having the exact same issue.. sort of. the throttle would stick on teh freeway/other places. Let off the gas and it would stay around 2k rpm's. It would feel like I had the cruise on. Replaced the TPS and it went away.

Alex1647545498
You can find test procedures in service manuals. So go to a book store and pick one up.
