If I remember correctly, there is a different meaning for a flashing ABS light, and a constantly on ABS light. The problem is I don't remember what it means when the ABS light is flashing. I haven't driven this car for a week or two, but when I took it out in the icy conditions the other night the ABS light started to do the flashing thing. When I start the car the light does the normal operation of turning on for a second then turning off. After about 5 minutes of driving the light starts flashing constantly. Could this be a simple wheel speed sensor? Or does the flashing mean something different? I am assuming that when the light is flashing, the ABS will not work, just like if it was constantly on.
