black00ws6
I've been to about 4 different locations and enjoy the one I am at the most. Started at Paek's Tae Kwon Do back in 96.. VERY traditional school, not much sparring.. Then joined the Kukki Tae Kwon Do club at OSU, the silver medalist from the 88 olympics was the grandmaster and he taught that way, like you were training for the olympics. 2:30-3 hour long classes 2-3 times a week. VERY intense, Only was there for a few quarters since my work schedule and the school schedule conflicted. Joined Greg Greens Kickboxing which was more like cardio kickboxing for the first year then you got to actually start sparring and fighting, this place was ok but in the gheeeettttoooo and work conflicted with there as well. Now I've been at Gahanna Martial arts for the past 4 years and love it. He teaches tae kwon do, grappling, self defense, some boxing, and krav maga. Also has cardio kickboxing classes just about every night as well as sparring classes twice a week, and grappling once a week. PM me with any specific questions if you would like. Tractor
I keep thinking I wanna rejoin a martial arts school. I got out of it when I got a job/wife and that sort of thing. Now I'm older and outta shape though. I'd probably just end up with more pain in the mornings. Evan

89Z24
I used to teach with a guy whos running his own school in Westland Mall now. It's Okinawan Karate and I highly recommend the school. Chad and the rest of the instructors are all excellent people and highly skilled. 2 of the instructors are 8th degree black belts and have been teacing for a very long time. I got my black belt with them and couldnt be any happier with my experience. The oldest instructor actually was a student under the man who brought karate to Ohio and has been in the game for over 40 years. Him and his son actually used to run the Arnold Martial Arts Classic. Bird69
where's the Gahanna school and how much does it cost? Would I have to start over at white belt or could I carry my orange over from Shotokan?
