SPLN SUX
And I thought 65mph on a jet-ski was fast... 65 for a waverunner... isnt even fast for a waverunner... several stock 1100/1200's back in the late to mid 90s were doing that. Now a days, if your not touching 70... your not really going all that fast. Ive been 84mph (based on digi speedo it had) on a converted Yamaha Waveradier 701. It was a built 1100 from the 1100 wave raider making somewhere in the neighborhood of 160bhp... with nitrous It was a small shot though... like 25 i think. Anyway, it was a really pitched prop with a tight radii nozzel... insanely fast. I dunno, i ran down a guy in a 35 lightning Fountian and when we got to the docks he was like :eek2: BTW, at that speed, you dont sit on the seat... you lay on it. I was laying on my chest on the seat with my arms on the bars, and my elbows tucked in... as far as anyone in the front of it knew... noone was driving it

The owner, (Ronnie), ported that particular motor to produce 340ish at the prop. He could run 105 all day long in that little Hydrstream. He stuffed it at aroung d 80 mph this past summer and destroyed the boat. I drag raced him on the Ohio river in 2002. It was choppy. He drove that 16 footer like it was an offshore boat. He can wheel a v-bottom better than most. And yes, he went around me.

RedRocket1647545505
Since the beginning. In fact, I live only a few blocks from Greg, the founder and webmaster of S&F. Great site, good people, sweet boats. I believe my father is a member of that site. I'm not exactly sure how active he is though. I believe his screen name is AllisonEd. (Ed Long) From what I know about his boat, it's a red with gold and black trim, Allison XB-2003, 1998 model year. He's had one metric shit ton of motors on the thing. When it runs, it seems to run like a raped ape. I've been up to, around 80mph in it with him, and I believe he's taken it up to 100-101 mph. I can't remember what motor he's running on it now. When he first started off, he ran a few 2.4l powerheads, then stepped up to a couple 2.5l ones, and now I think he's running a 300 drag? (whatever the hell that is). All I know is it's pretty rowdy. I think he mentioned it should be somewhere around 350 N/A. Last I checked, he had bought a nitrous kit for it. From what he's told me, it injects N2O, and alcohol as a supplimental fuel. He claims he has the means to run a staged 250 shot on it (1st stage = 75hp, 2nd stage = 175hp). Sounds awfully big, but I could be wrong on the numbers. 600hp in a boat that weighs a little over 1,000lbs sounds crazy to me. He's been down to the Ohio river several times, and a couple events he referred to as 'Rumble on the River.' Along with a few more. BTW, What kind of setup are you running? He keeps trying to drag my ass out with him, so he can teach me to drive his boat. He claims Allisons are a on a whole nother level when it comes to driving them. When I was about 15, i took it to around 70-75, then that bitch started to raise out of the water, and I pussed out. I really should get back into going out with him. I haven't ridden in the thing in probably 4+ years.

Ronnies hydrostream is inspiring , and he pushed that hull to its limits and beyond some.
Total Sign
Fb has a 24 skater that runs like a bat out of hell from 50-90. Those old allisons are a handful, 2 people is too many. Not very forgiving. Checking the site, Steve Gates is finally getting some press! http://www.screamandfly.com/home/evaluations/alisyn_progear21/1.htm
flyinbrian
Austin, I highly recommend you take the next oppurtunity your father presents to you. Allison builds the baddest, fastest, outboard powered v-bottom in the world. When you pull into the local go-fast hang out spot in an Ally, it's like rolling to the next track meet in a 9 second street car. There are only a select few that have a shot at you. Allisons go back and forth with STV's in professional outboard drag racing. They even give some car motored drag boats a scare or two. An ally running 9s and 10s in a 1/4 mile is the norm. Learn to drive that sucker, you will be hooked. A 300 drag is a 2.5. Your dad is more that likely running a Nitrox kit. They are the best. He is not exaggerating on numbers. You my friend, have a cool dad.
RedRocket1647545505
Here are some quick pics of his boat that I just uploaded. These are some of the few that I have: It’s a crappy pic http://i1.tinypic.com/mjoge9.jpg He’s got a gauge for everything http://i1.tinypic.com/mjoisx.jpg For the nitrous http://i1.tinypic.com/mjojee.jpg Left switch = nitrous, right = trim (I think) http://i1.tinypic.com/mjokgo.jpg
RedRocket1647545505
Here’s one block http://i1.tinypic.com/mjompy.jpg Ooops! He’s a couple more http://i1.tinypic.com/mjonjl.jpg What’s the blue thing in the background? http://i1.tinypic.com/mjp8ip.jpg That's about it. He keeps trying to get me into boats. But as you can see from my sig pic, I opted for dry land. I keep telling him though that he needs to find a straight road next to a lake so I can spank his ass. flyinbrian
Oh yeah, been to all the Rumbles except last year. 1200 miles is too far of a tow when I already live in paradise. RedRocket1647545505
Well, I see 2 of the 4 pics. And looks like fun. Great looking boats. Probably when I get older, and into a good paying job, I'll get a boat. BTW, that water looks amazing.

The road runs right next to the water. Unless that Z06 of yours runs in the 10s, my money is on the Ally for the first 1300 feet or so. ESPECIALLY with the blue bottle thingy. Why not do dry draggin and wet draggin too? Works for me http://home.earthlink.net/~novawagon/images/11132005wagon.jpg http://home.earthlink.net/~novawagon/11132005wagon.jpg

It does sound pretty nasty.
