Guest mudbutt
Im looking to build a destroked motor. Using the rods of the longer stroke motor I will need a comp height of the piston increased .115" bringing the total height to 1.414". The rest of the specs will be 84mm bore and 85.09mm of stroke and 5.988" of rod length. My question is, how will this increase in comp height effect stresses on the pistons and rings? I plan to rev this motor to 7000-7500 and the rods themselves should hold up. The reason I dont want to go to a longer one is because it wont really be financially feasable and the stock rods for the shorter stroke motor arent nearly as strong.
