90_EAGLE_TALON Posted May 28, 2006 Report Share Posted May 28, 2006 I just have a quick question on how fast a stock 1998 camaro is. It is the 3.8L V6 and there is no modifacations done to it. This is a friends car and he swears it will beat a 90 eagle talon 2.0L DOHC non turbo. His car is also an autmatic transmission and mine is a 5 speed. What is the verdict? Just kidding But I had a 2001 V6 Automatic K&N/Flowmasters/FREEAIRMOD/3.42 gear (Special from factor) and i ran a 15.4 (I had never dragged before) . I've seen stock 3.8's (The engine has not changed) go mid 15's. Anthony went 15.7 and he will be the first to tell you hes not great with a stick. Your car on the other hand would only run 16's . It is actually a circle track stock car I race (you can see stock cars in the backround of the pic) The car has exhaust routed out under the passanger door, got a bigger exhaust manifold off a junkyard Hyundai Elantra Confused It has no interior or glass in it with a roll cage. Ran the car for fun a few weeks ago. Ran 6 thenths faster then it used to. So you i don't think have a fighting chance.
