Guest 1sweet3.4
keep a third car, have all three and look at the price of the mods you make to the LT1 vs. LS1. If you're planning the wrenching yourself, look at the fact that the LT1 is far closer to the small block 350 of the 80s than the small block 347 ci LS1. THe money you save by sticking with 93 is going to manifest itself by the fact when you are driving in the winter with the monte with the fbod tucked safely in it's home. There are plenty of LT1 tuners out there, after all they have been going fast in LT1s since it was introduced in the Corvette back in 90/91. Fbods are no fun for winter driving, my v6 was made tolerable by S10 wheels with snow tires and 150 lbs of sand. Plus, the 00 ss doesn't look much better than the old school formula, but your talking to someone who likes the look of the 97 SS as the epitome of modern camaros, second only to the 98 Firebired WS6.
