Hey, Rick, I appreciate the complements. Some of the 4.6 has been done but nothing major at all. I've been tampering with the 5.0 but nothing big has been completed yet either. I'll keep ya posted! Is there actually any significant gains from doing your idea?

Guest powers
why even fuck with it when you can buy a JLT intake that is 4" tubing made from thick composite that does not heat soak the intake charge like aluminum piping does. Not to mention you will need to buy aluminum bends and know how to tig aluminum piping which is not an easy task to make it look like something you would want under the hood of your car. Guest Removed
< can tig < has done it before and with a dry shot of N2O being sprayed thru it, heat soak is not a issue so STFU mister thinks he now all

Guest powers
looking for more of a Cold air intake. not hot ass engine air! and the 2nd doesnt look like 4" It is. If you would like to verify it you can call JLT and talk to Jay Tucker or his wife Lisa. You say you don't want "hot ass engine air" but when you make an aluminum intake for an NA car the air ends up being the same temp and the under hood temps becasue the aluminum tube comes up to temp VERY quickly. I am not being a know it all I am posting on an automotive forum automotive information that I would think would benefit the original poster. 98GrdPoundr
back on topic...... if your going to get 4.6L ported heads go with http://www.foxlakeracing.com/ or http://www.vtengines.com/intro.htm stay away from the patriot heads, there junk don't be tempted by the cheaper price. you can find lots of modular info here http://forums.modulardepot.com/
JaSSon
The problem with the BBK is that there is a bend infront of the MAF. It changes the direction of the airflow, and can generate incorrect MAF readings. I have also read quite a few bad reviews on Patriot heads; I don't have any first hand experience tho.
