Can I participate in the july 30th autocross. I know that the governors cup is going on that weekend. I have emailed them but have not gotten a response back. I would like to find out something before thusday so I can register online. Also this will be my first scca autocross. So I have no glue what class my car is in. Thanks Andy

Yes you can if you register on http://www.dlbracing.com by tomorrow. You will only be getting 3 laps though. Your car if stock would be in H Stock, other likely classes might be CP or something along those lines, but they can figure that out when you get there.

Joe, like Craig said online registration is already closed. Once your registered on the DLB site just look for the date of the event and there will be an "OVR" event listed, click on the small "register" icon which i think looks like a pen. Couple more clicks and your done.

I hope you get the car fixed tonight Joe, I'll pray to the car gods for you. If not come out for a bit tomorrow and your welcome to ride along with me. 2 weeks until the next event to get ready.

I was dead last in my class. 2 of the cars run on the national level, nothing I can come close to competing with, the other is a lightly modded crx that is about 1/2 to a full sec faster than me. With some more weight loss and more rubber next year I should be on his heels, I think I still have the points lead in my class right now though.

Andy, nice runs today in the Malibu!! Don't get to see many cars like that doing autocross. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet with you more, the run/work group kept us from getting a real chance to talk, I wanted to catch a ride too!!

Thanks Ben! I had a great time. I only made a couple laps because I was short on time. Plus my Dad was ready to eat. I wasn't expecting it to take so long for eveything today. I talked to a couple people that said it normally runs a little quicker. All in all I had a great time. If I would have made a few more runs I think I could have busted a high 47 or a low low 48. The car worked a little better than expected . But I did run a little to hard into a couple turns that lost alot of time. I will try and make a few more events before the year is up. I think I have the bug :) . Next time I'll have you ride with me and give me a few pointers and I 'll have to take a ride in the Laser. Andy

Yeah, they had some timer issues during the first heat that slowed it down some, but all the racing was done by 3:30 which is good for about 130 cars there.

Your car looked pretty good out there, it looked flat and stable for an old heavy car, you've put some good mods on it. Your on for the rides!!
