LS7 Is In!!...

What did you think, I dropped a 505hp LS7 in the truck! :jest:

I swaped my burnt up LS6 clutch setup for a LS2/LS7 clutch combo. I still need to put 500 miles on it before I get on it still. I also still need to bleed the hydrolics one more time. This clutch feels great! It is a bout 12lbs heavier, so I will see if I can feel that much. It grabs about an inch off of the floor and is really smooth. Hopefully this clutch last a little bit longer than my LS6 did. I don't think I will hot lap this one. Learned my lesson!

Old burnt up LS6 setup thread!

I like your truck alot. whats it 1/4?

14.0 @ 97mph with out the LT headers.

I will be shooting for high 13s if I ever make it out to the track this year. I think I am there with the extra 25 rwhp I got from the headers!

I think 1 inch is pretty good, since some f-body guys engauge on the floor. I have not bleed my system yet either

No its not good, it means that as soon as the clutch forward adjusts for wear you wont be able to disengage the clutch.

Yup, you are gonna run into problems again. The diaphram spring looks wrong, it shouldn't be pressed in that far. That it what it should look like when you push in the clutch not when its sitting there with no load on it. Something isnt right.

I can't tell, is the flat side of the disc towards the camera or on the flywheel. By that I mean the black facing material being almost flat with the retainer plate it is attatched to.

diaphram spring? What am i looking at? the yellow springs?

The yellow arrows point to the diaphram spring. It is what engages and disengages the disc.

The yellow springs are call sensor springs that provide forward adjustment.

I think it is the angle I took the photo that makes it look like they are going in. Let me see in my other pics if they are the same way.

I kinda doubt it, the diaphram spring will should be out side the clutch cover or just above the clutch cover.
