Rally Pat
28.8 Brenden? Ah hell nah! 14.4 was the speed of my first modem. it was a stand alone external Motorola one, and it was loud. Very very loud.
SlowZ06
Yeah? Around 1986, I had a IBM XT running at a blistering 4.77 MHz and a 300bps (that's 300 bits per second, as in 300KB/sec without the K ) acoustic coupler that I used to connect to a BBS and read Phrack. My parents bought me an AT (that's 80286 technology, bitches!) for my ninth birthday that ran at 8 MHz and had a built in 1200bps modem. Lustalbert
I started out on an apple IIGS (2.8MHZ) with a whopping 1 MB or ram and an 9600 baud modem. I miss programing in basic.

Shields1181
It's pretty amazing how far we've come from 94. I can remember playing a game called "Mouser" on a computer my uncle had waaaaaaaaay back in the day. I swear it had to have been one of the first at-home pc models.
