baron_
I don't know anything about chevy's - value, etc so, take this for what it's worth - motor came in a project car i wanted, but don't want motor. I'm a pontiac man (the whole car is available - may post that later) all i know is what the guy told me: "motor is a rebuilt chevy 350 4 bolt main with a mild cam" has a 750 DP holley, aluminum intake - headers...and seems to run good no smoke, no noise (header leak), no issues the carb is a bit much and flooding the engine when you flog it - you'd need to trade down to something a little more reasonable anyways, you can hear it run - will give it to ya as complete as you want it - including 350 trans anyone interested at $600? it's in a '66 buick, x-race car if you wanted a cheapo racecar - could get the rest of it pretty cheap i squeeled tires in it the day i bought it and set my roommate's car alarm off with the loud exhaust

baron_
by what i was told he was truthful about everything he told me, so far (car has a 12 bolt 1968 chevelle posi, 4:56 gears) so, with that valuable of a rear end, i imagine the engine isn't trash i'll take a look later and see if the spot isn't covered by oil

baron_
3970010 - gearhead was correct it's a 1973 K20 block (I ran the VIN # stamped on the block) meaning, it came out of a big truck, 4x4 or something everyone i've talked to says that means it was a 4-bolt main and i doubt the previous owner lied anyways noone can use it? i have offers on the body car is on ebay ending in 3 days - so hurry up and someone buy the engine and i'll end the ebay auction, instead of leaving it to bidders at the last second =]
