NOS50 Posted October 12, 2006 Report Share Posted October 12, 2006 I have a buddy with one that needs an engine for $1200.00.It's on Craigslist with pics.Engines are cheap at salvage yards because they don't blow up.He was a bone head and put an oil filter bypass dual filter Amsoil setup on it and starved the cam of oil.I told him to just use a $5 Lexus filter and he'd have no problems(I have an LS400 with 283K on it)but he wouldn't listen. NOS50 Posted October 13, 2006 Report Share Posted October 13, 2006 They actually have headers,CAI and there used to be a supercharger kit for it so you could piece together one if you wanted.I would just replace the 4.0 and spray it for 150 or so.That is a strong engine he just starved the top end with his dual filter bypass kit.
