I would not touch that car for $10,900.00.I sold Mercedes parts for 2 years.That car is so expensive to fix it's not even funny.There are sensor on a SL600 that cost $4000.00,yes $4000.00.The interior is trashed,the body is trashed and they say it runs.It's obvious that car was not taken care of at all.I'll pass.

98+ Jag XJR uses a Mercedes build "100,000 mile sealed unit" transmission that fails completely around 80,000. Cost to repair ranges from $10,000 to $15,000, depending on where you take it.

SLs tend to have a better reliability record, MB screwed them up less. After 95 though, it all went to shit.
