Guest nasty57
I have for sale s set of stock casting heads that have been ported. I dont have flow numbers and the nearest place (that i know of) is a little over an hour away and they want 120 bucks to flow the heads and i am not driving down there and sinking more money in these then i already have. These were on a buddies car and the car went 11.40's on average with 11.20 being his best run ever. The cam he used with these was similiar to a cc306 but it was a little different. The heads have been run on the car about 400 miles since a valve job. I came in to them because he wrecked his car and needed it fixed. He was a little low on cash and didnt want to turn it into the insurance company so he worked a deal out with me on parts and some cash. I was actually going to use these but have a set of stage 2's which i just put 315 into, having a valve job, milling and bead blasted, so i am just going to use those. The porting on these looks as good as the porting on the stage 2's and infact the car that the heads for slale came off of went faster in the quarter then the cartek heads i will be using. I want to get rid of these i dont need them and could use the cash myself, as i am nearing the end of my engine build. I want 700 for them plus shipping. I would selll them for 500 if i get a set of stock heads with the cash, but they must be in good condition and functional (dont need a valve job or machie work). I prefer paypal. Guest Mushijobah
Sorry about being dumb but, what would the effects be on a non-cammed engine?
Guest nasty57
you would still see gains just not to there potential. If you would go through the hassle of a head swap just throw a cam in there too. My buddy had a set of similiar heads with a stock cam and 4.5 psi powerdyne kit made just over 500 rwhp.
