This processor is a 2.0 GHz processor with 128 L1 cache and 1MB L2 cache. Processor uses a very tiny 25 watts of power. If you're interested in upgrading the processor, any Turion up to ML-37 or MT-37 should work. Sorry, the new Turion X2s won't work. MT-xx = 25w power usage. ML-xx = 35w power usage. At idle, the Turion throttles back to 800 MHz and uses a measly 1.0v. That guide from HP is very good, except there are an additional 7 screws you need to remove from the plastic base it doesn't tell you about. Also, I found a program called RMClock that I've used to further lower CPU power consumption. I had another ze2308wm laptop pulled apart today and found out why it broke. The RTC batt holder broke off the Main board. The owner is trying to get it Soldered back on. The owner is trying to get it Soldered back on. as far as ive heard if you update to vista over a version of XP it will Void your xp cd key... although i have heard if you format your hard drive, and then install the upgrade as a trial... you can just enter in your key and it will activate like a full version... When it is plugged in it runs at 1.99 all the time. RMClock is pretty cool, and the battery looks to be lasting a bit longer. Thanks Jason! SpaceGhost Posted February 11, 2007 Report Share Posted February 11, 2007 I was scared, and dumb, I put the processor in and buttoned it up turned it on and it worked. After about 5 min I thought "Why has the fan not kicked on?" then thought "Oh shit I don't remember pluging in the fan to the main board." So I shut it down fast and cracked it open once again and yep never plugged in the fan, fixed that and buttoned it up again and loaded vista. Works real good, I don't have any issues except Itunes with the laptop and Vista. Jason did you look inside that pdf and see the Bluetooth part?
