The new Blue Ray DVD's and true HD is 1080. Let me clear this up... It is prolly 720p which can put out 1080i. It is not 1080p. Any DVD player with a HDMI output can put out 1080i. 1080p is FULL purre secksy HD, the only way to get 1080p, which is the best picture possible, is by having a Blue Ray player, an HDMI cable, and a TV that can produce/accept/put out/display 1080p-- the newest models.
