Guest kiohio
Hoping someone has done a swap lately. I am going to go non-egr down the road possibly. But the one on the car is shot and I don't have the cashola to blow on one that may get yanked off anyway. Car is 89 Mustang 5spd. Thanks, KO
Dave1647545494
take the valve off trace the back on pice of 1/8 or thicker metal cut it out drill a couple of holes and walla no more egr valve.... I don't have stock one laying around or you could have it..... if you don't have the tools to make the plate bring me your old valve for a template and a piece of steel or aluminum and I can fab it up for you.... shop is in lancaster so the drive wouldn't be bad
Guest kiohio
Thanks, I appreciate the offer. I probably have enough stuff here to do it with. What size holes? Put the egr back on with the plate sandwiched between. Correct? Been fighting crappy idle and a slight lean condition, hoping this helps. Diaphram is completely shot on this one. Thanks Again, KO
Dave1647545494
you can sandwich the plate or use it alone.... drills holes in it big enough for whatever size the bolts are prolly 5/16 or 3/8 make sure to use a gasket
