ohio_wookie Posted February 21, 2007 Report Share Posted February 21, 2007 blue ray will die just like beta did. why you ask? because the porn industry is going with HD-dvd as their standard just like they did with VHS. it may take a couple years but it will happen. to quote what Ive already said. i know in the past the porn industry was a big part of the final decision but that was back when porn and movies were all you could really get on those formats. but now we have the ps3 and computers that will also use this tech. and now with the internet the majority of porn sales is no longer videos/dvds. which the sales of the videos/dvds dropped by about 22% in 2006 alone. and technically the porn isnt "going" with hd-dvd they have been more or less forced because sony is supposedly not going to allow porn on their format. Vivid video is going Blu-Ray, dont know why just they are being allowed to use it but most are going hd-dvd anyway for cost purposes.
