Basically looking for a car with out a turbo but has good hp. 170+. Basically, I like the body styles on these cars and what not.

Reliable?

Pricy to fix?

Pricy upfront cost?

Easy to modify?

Any suggestions would be nice.

Any other car suggestions would be nice.

4g's is all I'm looking to spend. Trading in a 01 Buick regal so I'm not getting a ton of cash out of it.

Reliable? the n/a isnt too bad

Pricy to fix? YEAH. unless you can get the parts for cheap and can deal with the horribly small engine bay

Pricy upfront cost? kinda

Easy to modify? yeah but its not really practical if you buy an N/A. you'll never get above 300whp

i'd say stay away unless you have money to keep her up. You can probably find a faster car for less than a Z. Although there is nothing like owning a Z. I loved that car to death

A $4000 90-96 300ZX non-turbo will typically have higher miles and most likely require a bit of money and work to maintain. If you are mechanically inclined, this is not much of an issue. If you have to pay for labor, it will probably nickel and dime you to death. If you have money for mods, spend it on a newer/lower mileage car instead. Save up and get the nicest one you can find, it will be worth it.

I have owned a 91TTZ and a 94TTZ, loved them both. I will probably buy another one someday, clean ones are getting harder to find though.

I like my 85 Z. Its N/A with around 85,xxx on the clock. There is a silver eighty something Z for sale here. I havent looked at it friends have told me about it. You could get it really cheap. It is said to be in good physical condition. Although I am not sure if it will move all that well.
