V8 Beast
I need a vaccumm hose and a t-fitting to go on my brake booster line to run the vaccum mod. It appears the rubber hose was melted by the headers. Would it be possible to run a steel line to prevent the melting?
fattyona12
or you could just run a braided line

AJ
cars in the 60's and 70's had steel line with a 1 1/2 rubber connection at each end.

If you have the run of the mill LT Headers, there should never be a problem with melting that hose. Could you post a pic, I'd like to see whats going on. koolrayz
I ran mine up and over the top of the trans to the "T" i put in the brake booster line. I cant for the life of me see why you ran it anywhere near the exhaust. On another note mine is just some cheap ass soft clear tubing like you would get at home depot with a spring inside of it to keep it from colapsing. I say go to home depot. V8 Beast
No pics needed, its still on the floor in my garage. The guy I got if from said he melted the hose on his headers... wierd huh. I finally got in contact with the place that built the tranny. They agreed that the braided line would be the best option.
