V8 Beast Posted March 16, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 16, 2007 Thank you No real hp gains from duals over a good catback system. To me duals is more of a cosmetic mod for sound. And a lot of y-pipes setups that come with long tubes hang too low. I spent $500 for a qtp y-pipe that was litterally 3 inches off the ground. The problem is there are no other alternatives for the qtp headers other than custom pipes. The f-bodies have clearance issues to the point that the factory y is flat on the drivers side (and thats at 2.5''). To have a 3'' pipe on a lowered car and still have clearance is a big plus.
