This has been my Fiance's car for the past 5 years. It has been a great car and never given us any trouble. The body is in good shape other than a few door dings. The car has been in Oklahoma or Texas its whole life and never seen the salt of Ohio's winter driving. This means no rust or corrosion anywhere on the car. It does not burn or leak any fluids, overall it is a great car. It starts right up every time and gets about 25-30mpg

Does the altima have a timming belt or chain? if it has a belt when was the last time it was changed?

It has a timing chain. Altimas came with the KA24DE which was a 2.4L DOHC -16valve 4cyl engine same as in later model 240sx.

 

It is not the worlds most exciting engine but it is well known for its durability and longevity.
