Big A
Well my dad was driving my 96 explorer the other day in the rain. He turned on the windshield wipers. They both worked for a minute then the passenger side stopped working while the drive side kept going. I didn't know if there is something that connects the 2 together. If anyone has any idea of what happened and how/what I would need to fix it would be great. Thanks. Andrew
MrMeanGreen
Yes, there's a linkage between the two driven off of the motor. It's probably broken.
Dave1647545494
its plastic bushing, if your lucky ford will sell you just the bushing and its an easy fix, if your not lucky you'll have to buy an entire wiper transmision..... to find the broken part first take off the wiper arms and then remove the cowl panel underneath of them if you can take a good clear picture of the broken parts I'll tell you what you need to do to fix it
AJ
it could also just be a loose wiper arm nut. we get them all the time for that so check that as well as what everyone else said.
