CJINOHIO03
One of the pins that slides back and forth on the brake caliper bracket is froze. It wasnt greased properly and or rusted. I tried knocking it out with a pry bar I got it to move a little bit but not enough. I tryed spraying it with pb blaster to that didnt seem to help. Any other ideas to get it out? If not where would I get a new one? Is it a junkyard and dealer only item? It is for a 98 Chevy Malibu. Thanks CJ
craig71188
The pins are usually available from any parts store. Heat is always good for stuck stuff - but you've got to be real careful with calipers. If you got it to move a little, lube up any of it that you got exposed and try knocking it back in, lube it again and try again. Sometimes working it both ways will help free it up.
