I've been troubleshooting this MegaSquirt problem forever and I can't figure it out. If the MS gets hot it doesn't get a TACH signal. If I take a can of canned air and turn it upside down to frost the components inside the case to cool them down, it runs fine, but I don't want to have to rely on a can of air just to go meet up tonight. Try cutting a hole in the box, and gluing in a pc fan, running off of the MS's 12v switched source. Edit: Make sure you drill some exhaust holes so the heat has somewhere to go too. tristanlee85 Posted June 30, 2007 Author Report Share Posted June 30, 2007 I'd have to leave the ran running 24/7 then. It's overheating before I even turn the car on.
