Yea i remember that one from my Food Safty Certification class... i wont lie... its a nasty one.

The easiest way to tell is to look at the can of product. If it swollen or the top and bottom pop in and out when you squeeze the can, DONT OPEN THE CAN!!! Just get ride of it, and not in your trash can inside the house, put it out side, inside a sealed container, away from your kids or animals. If the can is dented on the top or bottom surfaces of the can, also, dont open it. Same rules apply.

For those who think that the risk is only there if they are not properly cooked, YOU ARE WRONG! Botulism is not a bacteria, its a toxin, and cant be destroied by heat. it only takes a small amount to really screw you up, roughly 12ppm, which is a mix less than that of the sugar content in a 2 Litre of Coke or Pepsi.

Take it from me, a Nationaly recognized Certified Food Safty Professional, dont fuck with this stuff.
