cquist
Put on a 1/2 inch smaller puller. Went to a 4.0. It was a bitch to put the new belt on untill I got another set of hands to help. What kind of boost are you guys seeing with this size pulley? I know it varies depending on set up. Was at 7 with the 4.5 at 6500. Seems to come on much sooner and pulls harder in the lower gears. 4th gear is kick ass.
cquist
No one here has ever changed a pulley?
MrMeanGreen
This probably got bumped to the bottom of the first page, Carl. My P-1 has a smaller step-up ratio than yours, so I cannot speak from experience on what yours will do. I know the general rule of thumb is 1/4" equals 1.5-2psi at 6000 RPMs. I hope that helps, and maybe Amy can chime in since she runs a D-1 on her Mustang. caseyctsv
AMy won't know. Her car hasn't stayed running long enough to experiment with different pullies;-)
