No air coming out of vents 98 monte

I have a 98 monte ls and the air only comes out the defrost and floorboard vents no matter where the switch setting is. I was wondering what might cause this some kind of vaccum line? or the swith is bad? But i dont think the switch could be all that messed up cause when I but the air on it kicks the compressor on just doesnt blow out the vents. Like to get some quick responses on this cause Im in Georgia and the heat has been kickin my ass.

check the vacuum supply line hooked to the engine for any kinks or cracks.

I checked some vacuum lines at lunch but its a 100+ out today and I didnt put much effort into it. Where should i begin looking for this line? Thanks

check the ball in the driver side fender. its' a vacuum ball and its probably broke or something. you'll have to remove the inner fender (7 MM ) and take peek at it. That's what controls the vent direction (or I think).

close, it holds a vacuum reserve so the vent doors don't change when your hard on the throttle and there is low vacuum.

 

IIRC the vacuum line on the back passenger side of the intake is for the HVAC system.
