88lx5oh Posted August 28, 2007 Report Share Posted August 28, 2007 doing a lower ball joint on a 2000 durango 4wd. damn thing will not press out. lubed it up, broke to Autozone ball joint presses, even split the collar on the top. any suggestions?? Torch/cut rivets out, heat up LCA, split the LCA with the air hammer and a blade bit, then just hammer it back and forth until it comes out. 88lx5oh Posted August 29, 2007 Author Report Share Posted August 29, 2007 its a press in, and i finally got it out, after breaking 3 ball joint presses from AZ but its finally done, a little heat and alot of pressure and it came loose.
