hpfiend
Hey all, What turned into a annoying ticking sound (exhaust leak) has turned into a nightmare- One of the exhaust manifold bolts had rusted away- the others broke off in the head except for 2 or 3 when we took the manifold off the head. Anyone ever had any success with a right angle dremel adaptor and a tungsten carbide grinder bit? Cannot fit even a right angle drill in properly, and we are leaning towards pulling the intake and head to repair... Germain wants over 800.00 for a new manifold if we can't get this last air fitting out... FWIW anyone eliminate the air pump system on a 1987 F350 before? Thanks! hpfiend
Thanks- carbed 460. We managed to get in there with a right angle dremel but even with less than a mm left they still wont turn out- we broke one EZout and had to drill that #@%#@% out too.... Trying left handed drill bits today.
