Though, it should be said that all acids are also broken down into strength or concentration. It's been about 4 years since I took Chem 121, so I can't remember what that scale is called. But, it's possible to have strong and weak hydrochloric acid. Also, battery acid isn't that bad. I've managed to get it on me (skin) on several occaisions, and as long as you get it washed off in a timely manner, it's fine. Might eat through your shirt or something if you let it sit long enough.
