You could fill a thread bout Honey.

It is good for wound healing and cough suppression. About a month or two ago a study came out saying Honey was better than OTC cough meds.

Honey has also been studied in burn care also.

That's the idea. I've been doing a fair bit of free reading and am finding loads of stuff. I'm hoping to find it corroborated by nerds everywhere. :)

What made me look at it was it's storage properties. The fact that it just doesn't go bad made it an ideal pack-food. So, I set out to see if it was useful as a foodstuff. Twinkies last forever, too, you just don't want to eat them.

I've found that they match or exceed the energy replenishing properties of any gel or su0plement on the market, and it has less chemical waste. (it's also cheaper and delicious'er)

I'd also find that it aids in the post-workout healing process. That is also related to its usefulness as a wound dressing. Also key it's is goo-nature, sealing the wound like a glue, but being degradable. It's also said to reduce inflammation, reducing swelling and soothing burns.

It's also said that it will help sober you up and keep hangovers away. I dont recall ever having a hangover from Mead, and I've consumed entire bottles within a 2-3 hour period at 21%+.
