blue98ls1
I have an 2003 Neon with an automatic transmission. One day while driving around 60-65 on the highway it slammed into second gear and the check engine light came on. I pulled over, and the car seemed fine but wouldnt shift past second. I towed it home and left it sit for a while now, but I am getting tired of seeing it sitting without being used. I bought an OBD-II code reader and it has a code for Solenoid B. Would this most likely be what is causing the problem? Or is there going to be something more than that? Also how hard is it to replace this solenoid? AJ
the solenoid could be shorted, clogged with debris or the harness could be grounded out.
blue98ls1
Is this solenoid located on the transmission? Easy to get to? Or am i going to have to pull the transmission to fix it? If it is indeed "bad".
AJ
it is inside the transmission.
