Should he be compensated?

P.S.

 

Ohio has a statute that provides for a civil remedy. Meaning...he can sue the state of Ohio under certain circumstances (not sure if Texas has a similar statute)

 

If victorious, he could get monetary damages here. If i get bored, i'll look and see if anyone has done so, and how much they've gotten

 

He would have to prove that he was convicted and that there was not proof beyond a reasonable doubt, though

...it's a defense for the state of Ohio - can't blame him if it really looked like he was guilty

 

So, the guy in texas would probably still be fucked. An eye-witness saying it's him would give the state enough to say, "sorry...not our fault"
