TurboRust
check for power at the fuel pump harness, could be a faulty fp relay or ignition switch no supply key on power.
TA In Progress
I had a Daytona that had a similar problem, ended up being a broken wire inside the insulation(the wire from the computer to the FP relay) by looking at it you couldn't tell, found it with a meter. I know that most (not all) had an ASD relay (auto shutdown) and if these were bad, the FP wouldn't run.
Dave1647545494
that car has asd relay power module and logic module work backwards untill you have power probe the pump harness with a meter for voltage if its dead go to the relay etc. if your going to keep the car long I'd try to find a 1985 chrysler service manual (the one they use at the dealer) it'll really help

TA In Progress
it doesnt have a check engine light If it has a power module and a logic module like Dave said, then it should have a check engine light....
Tindall2006
Sounds like a problem my dad had, turned out to be the conector under the seat going to the fuel pump was loose... I also kind of had that problem, it was my ECU going bad.
Dave1647545494
yes it has an engine light...... it should say power loss or sometyhing of that nature...... unless it has a carb...... have you check for spark yet?
