Ohio's primary election will be held on March 4th. In order to participate, you must be registered to vote 30 days prior to the election. The cutoff date is this sunday. I don't have the full list of places where you can register, but I know that you can at public schools and the BMV, which means there isn't much time.

Remember, if you have moved since you last voted, you will need to reregister!

Here is a link from the NRA. It allows you to download the needed form so you can fill it out and mail it in. The second link has all of the adresses

This is a reminder that the last day to register to vote for the upcoming March 4th Presidential primary election is February 4, 2008. If you are not already registered to vote, you may register in person at your local Board of Elections Office or the Ohio Secretary of State's Office no later than the normal close of business of that agency on February 4, 2008. You may also download, complete, and mail the voter registration application at http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/publicAffairs/electionPubs.aspx?Section=1758

Completed applications must be postmarked no later than February 4, 2008.

For additional information on the 2008 elections, please contact the Ohio Secretary of State Elections Division at (614) 466-2585 or go to http://www.sos.state.oh.us/.

Be sure to encourage your fellow NRA members, gun owners, and pro-Second Amendment community to protect their rights by registering and exercising their right to vote on Tuesday, March 4th!

If you are registered independent (unafilliated), then you won't be able to vote. Ohio has a closed primary meaning you have be registered as a member of whichever party's primary you're wanting to vote for. I'm voting for Ron Paul, so I have to be registered Republican, which I am (even though I'm truly independent).

Go here and check if you're not sure if you're registered or what you're registered as: http://vote.franklincountyohio.gov/boe/voter/index.aspx

If you want to vote in the primary, make sure you post-mark your registration by Feb 5. Ohio's primary is March 5.
